InfoSec Advisors’ Purple Team Exercises are designed to rapidly accelerate your security team’s development by exposing them to common threats organizations face in the daily fight against hackers. We sit in a room with your security team and conduct attacks to help them understand how their tools react to common and emerging threats facing your organization. We help your team identify indicators of compromise so they know when there has been a breach and show them what could be done leveraging the tools your organization already has in place. We will also help identify any shortcomings and make recommendations for configuration changes to allow your security team to better defend your organization.
Traditionally, red teams and blue teams operate in their own silos. We believe this isn’t the best approach as it normally breeds a sense of complacency and “good enough.” The blue team thinks they merely need to stay ahead of the red team by patching vulnerabilities, when they could be focusing more on the growth of their prevention and detection skills and toolsets. We believe purple team exercises provide tremendous value and get your blue team out of a fixed mindset and into a growth mindset. We show them what a hacker would do to defeat the controls in place and get them thinking more creatively.
